Get ready for a thrilling journey with MÖTLEY CRÜE as they embark on their highly anticipated tour, "The Return of Carnival of Sins"! This epic celebration marks the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking 2005-2006 tour and the band's 45th anniversary. With a 33-city trek produced by Live Nation, kicking off in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, on July 17, 2026, it's an event not to be missed!
But here's where it gets controversial... MÖTLEY CRÜE guitarist John 5, in a recent interview, expressed his excitement about the upcoming tour and the band's support acts, EXTREME and TESLA. He described the tour as a "heavy metal summer camp" where fans can enjoy good music, food, and drinks while hanging out with their favorite artists.
And this is the part most people miss... John 5 also opened up about the incredible performance of MÖTLEY CRÜE's frontman, Vince Neil, during their 2025 Las Vegas residency. He praised Vince's singing, especially on songs like "Home Sweet Home," and expressed his pride in the singer's recovery and performance after his health issues.
"Listen, please do me a favor, and go back and listen to how great Vince did at the Vegas residency. He sang incredible, and I was so proud of him," John 5 urged.
As for the setlist, John 5 revealed that he's eagerly awaiting the band's choices, knowing there will be some different songs included. He even named a few of his personal favorites, such as "Red Hot," "Piece of Your Action," and "Too Young to Fall in Love."
But the real magic, according to John 5, was Vince Neil's resilience and determination. He shared, "The real magic was Vince Neil. What he went through, his struggles, and how he performed and sang, I'll never forget it. He did such a great job, and I was so proud of him because I knew the hell he went through."
During the residency, Vince Neil faced a significant health scare, revealing that he had suffered a stroke around Christmas in 2024. MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx addressed this, expressing his pride in Vince's courage to get back on stage.
"Your health is everything," Sixx emphasized. "If you don't have your health, you've got nothing."
And here's where it gets even more intriguing... Vince Neil's health scare led to the postponement of the band's Las Vegas residency, originally scheduled for spring 2025. It was a challenging time for the band, but they supported Vince throughout his recovery.
"We spent a lot of time in rehearsal to give him that opportunity to really get that muscle in shape, the vocal cords. And I was so happy. It just sounded so good. And it felt good," Nikki Sixx shared.
So, what do you think? Is Vince Neil's performance during the Las Vegas residency a testament to his resilience and the power of music? Or do you have a different perspective on this story? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
Remember, music has the power to heal and inspire, and MÖTLEY CRÜE's journey is a testament to that.
